Lee Jeong Yeon is a South Korea–based composer whose work transcends genres, adding depth and emotion to every story through meticulously crafted music.

As the leader of JLMUSIC, a professional theatrical music team comprising music directors, composers, arrangers, and performers, he primarily focuses on musical theatre while also working across film, television, and popular music.

In 2019, he made his debut as a composer and music director with the musical 'Swag Age: Shout out, Joseon!'. This musical garnered significant acclaim, winning the Best Production Award, New Actor and Actress Awards, and Choreography Award at the 5th Korean Musical Awards, as well as the Ensemble Award at the 8th Yegreen Musical Awards.

Since then, he has worked on various musicals, including 'Wedding Banquet', ‘Winter Wanderer’, The Devil : Faust’, ‘The Devil : Eden’, ‘Equal’ and ‘Dear My Laika’ contributing as an arranger.

In addition to composing and arranging, he is actively involved as a musical coordinator, creating pre-recorded tracks for performances and collaborating with music and sound directors on-site to enrich the sound. His role involves multi-track mixing, track balancing, sound supervising, playback cue creation, and modifications, ensuring the seamless delivery of music from creation to performance.

Currently, Lee Jeong Yeon is also dedicating his time to teaching, offering lectures at Kyung Hee University and Hansei University.
